Freie Universitaet Berlin International Summer University (FUBiS) is an intensive, academic program. At one of Germany's top universities, students can gain first insights into German culture and language.
Alongside German language courses at five different levels of proficiency, and subdivided into three time blocks (terms), FUBiS offers numerous courses in history, politics, German language and literature studies, architecture and art history. The subject classes focus on Berlin, Germany, and Europe. All courses except for the German language and literature courses are held in English. FUBiS classes make use of the various resources Berlin offers. Therefore study visits are an integral part of all courses. FUBiS is intended for first-year students as well as for graduates.
FUBiS offers intensive and semi-intensive German language classes at five different proficiency levels. In addition FUBiS offers subject classes on various class topics. These classes are held mostly in English by distinguished German and international faculty. Students choose 1 language course and 1 subject course.

- Have a minimum GPA of 2.75 in order to apply.
- Set up a mandatory study abroad advising meeting by email firstname.lastname@example.org.
- Complete the Adelphi online study abroad application. Click APPLY NOW below.
- Then you can proceed to complete the program application. FUBiS Online Registration
- Complete the AU Course Equivalency Form.docx. Courses must be approved before you depart for your program.
