Overview
As Ireland’s most popular destination for international students, UCD is already proud to welcome many students from the United States across a range of disciplines. .UCD has a suite of study options available in the summer ranging from academic and cultural enrichment to undergraduate research and internship opportunities.

Academics
  • UCD Architecture: International Summer School - The Joint International Summer School consists of a 3-week intensive taught program in June which includes design studio, seminars, lectures, field trips and a cultural program.
  • Nursing Summer Program- Students will develop their knowledge of comparative health and nursing systems and their skills in research for nursing practice.
  • Sport and Exercise Summer Abroad - An exciting sport-oriented summer program that combines academic credit with a fun social and cultural experience!
  • Business Summer Internship Program - This eight week for credit program consists of coursework at UCD and a six-week internship placement at an Irish or multi-national company.
Housing
UCD has on-campus accommodation available for over 3,000 students in halls of residence, catered and self-catering apartments. Accommodation consists of a single bedroom with options of both private and shared bathrooms. Places are limited. To check eligibility for on campus accommodation, students can log into their SIS web account and access the accommodation section through the "Campus Facilities" tab. Application Procedures and Tuition  
  • Have a minimum GPA of 2.5 in order to apply to study abroad at University College Dublin.
  • Schedule a mandatory meeting with a study abroad advisor by emailing cie@adelphi.edu. 
  • Complete the Adelphi study abroad application. Click APPLY NOW below.
  • Once the Adelphi application is complete, proceed to fill out the UCD application online. Application requirements, tuition, and deadlines vary by program. For program specific information, use the links listed under academics.
  • Meet with your academic advisor to explore programs and course options. It is important that the school you are interested in offers the courses you need to take in order to graduate on time.
  • Select the courses you would like to enroll in and fill out the AU Course Equivalency Form.docx. Courses must be approved before you depart for your program.
  • All summer program costs are paid directly to the institution. 
CISI Health Insurance
All students studying abroad with UCD are required to purchase insurance with CISI Insurance, a worldwide coverage plan. For more information about CISI insurance please contact the CIE office.

Visa Requirements
You do not need a visa if you are a passport holdler from the USA. Please check out country specific details.
