The University of Stirling is a unique place – a beautiful and international seat of learning in the historic heart of Scotland. Founded in 1967 on an historic estate, the campus has both an 18th-century castle and a loch (Scottish word for lake) at its center.  A Scottish institution, the University has its own tartan that students and graduates are entitled to wear.  Edinburgh, Glasgow and the Highlands are all on your doorstep – Stirling really is Scotland's heart.
