Students can apply for furnished accommodation through the Hanze Housing Office, an organization that acts as an intermediary in finding temporary accommodation for students from abroad.  The Housing Office is a non-profit housing association and is the preferred supplier for short stay rooms. It tries to find suitable accommodation for a reasonable price. The Housing Office has 10 international student houses with all together almost 1200 furnished rooms, most of them with shared facilities. In each student house there will be a (Dutch) student manager.  He or she is the student’s first contact upon arrival.  Housing options are self-catered, meaning students arrange for their own meals.  Once an application is accepted, students will receive additional housing information.
