  • Earn up to 23 credits per semester studying abroad in Costa Rica; no previous Spanish language study is required.
  • Live in a Costa Rican homestay.
  • Choose one of three available programs: Spanish Language, Liberal Arts and Environmental Science Program | Certificate of Knowledge Program | Spanish Language and Internship Program (with additional criteria/requirements).
  • Enjoy cultural and social activities such as walking tours, film club, illustrators club, a visit to the Teatro Nacional, cooking class, visits to local museums and markets and more; volunteer opportunities are also available.
  • Trips include a 3-day excursion to Arenal Volcano, Hot Springs Spa and Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve, a 3-day visit to Manuel Antonio National Park and a day trip to tour a coffee plantation and visit La Marta Wildlife Refuge.
  • Optional excursions include a 2-day Sarapiquí hiking and rafting trip ($215) and 3-day visit to Granada, Nicaragua ($575).
  • Tuition and transcripts provided by the Universidad Veritas.
  • This program is available to high school graduates for Gap Year participation.
